Symphony of the Southwest Auditions

The Symphony of the Southwest announces the following vacancies to be filled for the upcoming 2023-2024 season:

•   2 first violin section positions @ $33.75 per service
•    Principal second violin position @ $42 per service
•   2 second violin section positions @ $33.75 per service
•   1 viola section positions @ $33.75 per service
•   1 Principal cello position @ $42 per service
•   3 cello section positions @ $33.75 per service
•   1 2nd oboe/English Horn @ $33.75 per service
•   Principal Bassoon @ $42 per service
•   Principal Trombone @ $42 per service
•   Principal Tuba @ $42 per service

Auditions will be held on September 30, 2023 at Grace Community Church, Terrace Center, 1200 E. Southern Avenue, Tempe 85282.

Interested candidates must check the season's rehearsal and concert dates.  Principal players accepted must commit to all four concert.  Section players must commit to at least three of the four concert programs for the 2023-2024  season.

Winning candidates will play the 2023-2024 season on a probationary basis.  At the end of the season, the Music Director will decide whether or not to accept the musician as a member of the orchestra.
